LOVE U MOM

ROSE A Short Film

I saw few short films yesterday. All had a something to say but the movie "ROSE" deserves a mention. It was about Mother's relationship with children.
Story goes this way. A young man was driving to his work on a weekday. He stopped his car to a nearby bouquets outlet. He saw a young pretty teen of 12-13yrs old sitting next to the outlet. He looked at her and saw that she was crying. She was feeling sad.
He went to her and asked her.
Man- What happend to you? Why are you crying?
Girl-  I don't have money to buy flowers for my mother, its her birthday today.
Man-  Coincidence you know, its my mom's birthday too today. Hey I will buy you flowers.
Girl-  Thanks! Girl still had sadness on her face.
Man-  Ok now cheer up!!
He then went to the lady and asked her to prepare a beautiful bouquet for his mother. He also
asked her to get them delivered to his mother. He also took a rose for the pretty girl.
He gave that rose to her. He asked her if she needed a lift.
Girl-  Yes, you can drop me.
Both sat in car and went towards the destination.
Man-  He got a call from his mother. He wished her mother birthday! He said that he won't be able to
come to her place today because he has some important meetings but promised that he will be there this weekend. He also told her that you will have a suprise this evening.
They reached at the gate. He said I have come to your place so let me meet your mom and wish
 her birthday!!
So both started walking to her place. They entered the gate and started getting down the staircase.
The man was getting down and he suddenly stopped. He was looking shocked. He started climbing upwards and ran to his car. He started driving his car and had tears in his eyes.
What he saw there was very shocking!!
What you guessed now is right!
Yes, That place was a graveyard.

He was crying while driving back towards the bouquet shop. He asked the lady that are those flowers delivered. She said no not yet but what happened? He said I want to give them personally to her. He took the flowers in car and picked up his phone to call. He called his mom and said I have a suprise for you. I am on the way to home. He then asked what was prepared for lunch?

               Movie ended here.

Many a times we actually neglect our loved ones. We mostly do that with our mother and family. We are not able to listen to the unsaid and unspoken emotions by them. They actually want to be with us only. I think we sometimes we must just express our love towards them by hugging them and making them feel special.

Another thing also that I felt was that we get to learn things from someone strange as well.

Well I also found that there is already a movie called "MY ROSE" by B Chinguin. I think these short story makers have taken the idea from there itself.

  3. Hi Pooja,
That's the difference between Western Culture and Indian Culture - they believe in platitudes, we believe in the personal touch.
Very nice post - apt for Mother's Day.
    Regards
